Section 5f of the instructions in the new Imperial knight kit is the part where you’re supposed to glue the heavy stubber or melta on. Stop Here. You will need to take part # 99 or #A38 (It doesn’t matter which one – they are identical) and cut off little pegs that should go INSIDE the gun with the glue. Check the picture.<\/p>\n
Instead of those pegs you will glue magnets there. Don’t forget to check your polarity! Do the same with the second gun and you will have switchable melta and heavy stubber.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n And now to carapace weapons!<\/p>\n You will need:<\/p>\n You’ll want glue the magnets on before you glue the carapace on. So if you are following the instructions – you will need to stop before section 5G! I recommend not gluing the carapace thing until you are done painting it, but it is totally up to you. When it is all flat and smooth you will need to make sure the magnets are strong enough to hold through the plastic. Hand place the biggest magnet and the 5\/16″ x 1\/16″ magnet on both sides of the carapace to see that the magnets are \u00a0strong enough to hold the weapons trough the plastic. It worked fine for me. If it doesn’t hold- get a bigger and stronger magnet. When you are certain – glue the biggest magnet inside the carapace.<\/p>\n Also you will need to assemble the carapace weapons you want to use (Part 6 \u00a0 is the Stormspear rocket pod\/ironstorm missile pod, and part 7 is the twin icarus autocannon). Cut and file the pegs on the weapons and you will have the perfect little place for your magnets. \u00a0Glue them on.<\/p>\n And voila! \nAfter that you will need to drill two little holes inside of the gun itself ( Part #A39 for melta and part #101 for heavy stubber). It should already have a little crevice for the assemble. You drill in that little crevice. When your crevice is big enough- glue a magnet inside. Again! Check the polarity!<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n\n
\nSo inside the carapace (it is part #120) you will need to file down the raised area around the peg hole.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
